St Mary's University College has offered students certification in the Global Dimension in Education since 2006. This Course primarily supports St Mary's students seeking certification, however anyone interested in teaching the global dimension or the wide range of issues related to the global dimension will find this course a useful starting point.
The course provides information and advice needed to successfully complete the Certificate in the Global Dimension in Education on offer to students registered at St Mary's University College (unfortunately we cannot offer Certification to others outside the College). It aims to support and enable students and others in developing appropriate values, attitudes, skills, good practice, knowledge and understanding in relation to the 8 Global Dimension concepts of global citizenship, conflict resolution, diversity, human rights, interdependence, social justice, sustainable development and values and perceptions, all of which underlie the revised Northern Ireland curriculum.
