Business Studies

The Business Studies Department offers courses that contribute to three different degree programmes in the College: BEd Secondary, BA Liberal Arts and MEd Educational Management programmes.

Business Studies is a multi disciplinary subject covering the full range of business education courses in economics, financial and management accounts, human resource management, marketing, statistics and operations research, information technology and business strategy and policy. While courses in Business Studies entail theoretical study through lectures, seminars and tutorials, there is also a substantial programme of field courses and visits to industrial and commercial organisations supplemented by guest speakers at lectures and seminars.

The Department makes full use of ICT resources for teaching and also student support both in terms of study and personal research. The Department has a suite of state-of-the-art computer facilities, which has just been re-equipped, supplemented by the open access facilities available to all students in the College.
