InternationalThe international dimension is integral to the mission of St Mary’s. It seeks to enhance the academic, professional, social and personal development of all those who participate in international activities. The College has a wide range of partner institutions in Europe as well as in the USA and the wider world and is actively involved in student mobility, teacher mobility, staff training and collaborative research.
Initial enquiries should be addressed to the International Office. For further information on any activities please click on the links to the left. |
International Opportunities for St Mary's Undergraduate Students All undergraduate students at St Mary’s have the opportunity to apply for an Erasmus+ placement during the second semester of their second year of study. The College has bilateral agreements with over thirty universities elsewhere in Europe to facilitate student mobility. The programme is funded by the European Union and provides grants to students. Many of the universities involved are able to accept students with no foreign language requirements and to provide courses for students whose only language is English. Approximately forty students per year avail of this opportunity.
Opportunities to study at St Mary's as an International Student St Mary's is a welcoming place and each year we are pleased to enrol over sixty international students through the Erasmus+ programme as well as the Irish American Scholars Programme. Enquiries should be addressed to the International Office.
There are also new mobility programmes for BEd and BA students to study in the USA, China and Africa. St Mary’s encourages students to avail of the opportunities offered by these programmes.
