St Mary's students celebrated the successful completion of their studies at special events held in the College and at the graduation ceremonies held at Queen's University. The events were attended by members of their families as well as friends.
St Mary's enjoys the special status of being an autonomous Church College at the same time as being academically integrated with Queen's. In September the College will welcome a new cohort of BEd students (150), Liberal Arts students (125) and PGCE students (20).
PGCE students enjoyed a special event in the College comprising the presentation of certificates by the Education Minister, Catriona Ruane, MLA, and the celebration of Mass by Bishop Donal McKeown.
The BEd students participated in a special Mass to recognize their achievements in Religious Education. Bishop Noel Treanor presided on this occasion.
Liberal Arts students attended the annual Commencement Ceremony at which Bishop Anthony Farquhar greeted them and their family and friends. Local MLA Sue Ramsey gave the Commencement Speech.
