Dr Brian Hanratty participated in a Teaching Mobility (TM) visit to the University of Huelva, Spain, from 10-15 April 2011.
During the week, he gave lectures and seminars to first and fifth year students who are studying Anglo-Irish literature as part of their BA (Humanities) degree. The focus of the lectures/seminars was on questions of identity as mediated through Irish literature in English, with specific reference to ‘Troubles’ literature from the North of Ireland and, also, the poetry of Yeats.
Brian’s academic host for the Teaching Mobility visit was Dr Auxiliadora Peres Vides, who is a lecturer in English in the Faculty of Humanities and who was on a TM visit to St Mary’s in 2008.
