The search began officially in December after 15 student finalists were chosen to take part in the technology-backed challenge.
Two St Mary’s Students, Luke McCoy and Grace Somerville, were selected from 400 applicants. They had their road and driving skills tested rigorously over a ten-week period using the latest in-car “black box” technology.
The awards ceremony took place in Stormont on Monday evening, 3 February, and our student, Grace Somerville, won the competition. She is now officially NI’s safest young driver and won £1,000 towards her motoring costs. Congratulations Grace!
