Sister Mary Assumpta Babirye, Principal of St Theresa’s Namagunga Primary School, visited St Mary’s on Monday, 13 January. Her school, situated in Lugazi in Uganda, is one of the largest in the country with almost two thousand pupils and with plans to build another campus.
During her visit Sr Assumpta engaged in a series of meetings regarding student internships, partnership possibilities and a range of development plans that she has for her school.
She met with St Mary’s staff including Professor Peter Finn (College Principal), Dr Gerard McCann, (responsible for International Programmes) and Dr Aidan Donaldson, who is the Coordinator of the Charity Project Zambia.
