St Mary’s were delighted to welcome a group of Year 9 and 10 pupils from Jordanstown School visited to the College with the aim of sharing their Deaf Awareness and Sign Language expertise with our BEd3 student group.
They planned and delivered several work-shops, which enabled our students to move around six excellent signing sessions led by the highly skilled Jordanstown pupils.
There was a well-deserved tea/coffee break afterwards in our fabulous new dining room which gave both groups of students the chance to relax and get to know each other. It also let the St Mary’s students practice what they had just been taught! A great morning was had by all and we hope to welcome Jordanstown School back again soon.
