St Mary's University College Peer Tutors were 'a hit' according to a university lecturer who attended their presentation at the annual meeting of American National Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing. Sheila Rooney and Christopher Callaghan presented on the topic of developing a peer tutoring system for writing in Northern Ireland. They spoke about the pedagogy they deployed at the St Mary's Writing Centre, a project that has been designated as a National Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (NI). They are being invited to convert their presentation into an article for the Writing Centre Newsletter published by Purdue University.
