In The Picture — 16 August 2021Féile Discussion on Legacy
St Mary’s was delighted to host a Féile discussion on the highly sensitive issue of legacy. The discussion was held with strict social distancing regulations in place on August 11th. Allison Morris chaired the session with a panel of Jon Boutcher, Niall Murphy, Jennifer McCann and Professor Kieran McEvoy. Professor McEvoy said, “We have a copy of every amnesty agreement around the world from 1945 and this British government amnesty is by far the worst we’ve seen. It’s worse than Pinochet’s.” Jon Boucher said, “some of the families I spoke to feel their loved ones were sacrificed.”
