St Mary's University College has over twenty years of experience
in sending and receiving students on ERASMUS mobility programmes.
Approximately eighteen percent of each student entry cohort annually take up the opportunity
of a semester's study in another European country.
In addition, the College receives around sixty students each year
from other institutions to undertake a similar
programme of four to five months' study. The majority of these students come
to St Mary's under the auspices of bilateral agreements on student
mobility. Others are 'free-movers': their programmes are arranged
directly with the International Office of St Mary's from universities that may not be linked into the Erasmus Charter system. Incoming students will be taught in English and will have the choice of courses from across the College as well as a bespoke International Student programme. They will be encouraged to participate in the full spectrum of activities from across the College, including sporting, cultural and social events.
