Awards

The following awards are available:

  • Master of Education (MEd)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Education Studies (PgDipEd)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education Studies (PgCertEd)

Entry Requirements

Candidates for admission to the MEd programme normally should have these qualifications:

  1. qualified teacher status and an honours degree or equivalent qualification or
  2. an honours degree or equivalent qualification with at least two years professional experience in an educational, training or professionally related context.

Fees & Funding

Students wishing to complete a course do so on a self funding basis. In the academic year 2023-24 the following fees will apply:

  • Bridging application £48.00
  • Bridging fee £190.00
  • Module (10-credit points) £388.00
  • Module (20-credit points) £776.00
  • Module (30-credit points) £1,163.00
  • Dissertation module (60-credit points) £2,327.00

Students may apply for a Postgraduate Tuition Fee Loan of up to £5,500. The Department for the Economy will provide a tuition fee loan of up to £5,500 per NI / EU student for postgraduate study.
